I’m trying to study for my Statistics course and I need some help to understand this question.

In your initial post define a variable that results in numeric observations that is not a quantitative variable.

(1 pt.) In the definition of the variable, please provide a detailed description of what the variable represents. You may also need to include some background on how or why the variable is being collected as part of this description.

(1 pt.) Provide a justification of why this variable is a nominal variable (even if it isn’t nominal, provide a convincing argument none the less).

(1 pt.) Provide a justification of why this variable is an ordinal variable (even if it isn’t ordinal, provide a convincing argument none the less).

Respond to at least one of other people post doing the following:

(1 pt.) Using a complete sentence and referring to the name/brief description of that student’s variable, state whether you think the variable is nominal or ordinal (or if you think the student incorrectly described a quantitative variable as qualitative).

(1 pt.) Justify your decision being sure to address the definition of both the variable and the variable type you chose.

(1 pt.) Identify what in the student’s explanation for the incorrect classification was in error (or misrepresented, etc.).
