Your task is to write an essay about Romanticism as an intellectual and literary movement. What are its main characteristics, beliefs, themes, and motifs? In your essay, you must trace its history, reasons for its appearance, its different branches and most importantly its followers. Provide examples of romantic literary works that exhibit some or all the qualities discussed and you must include in-text citations from at least 3 sources, including one from a book. 
Your essay must:
• Be at least 5 paragraphs long
• Use the MLA format
• Include a “Works Cited” page
• Have one source that is a book
• contain a thesis statement and at least 3 clear pieces of information
• contain an introduction and conclusion
• Include facts and evidence
o Do some research! (use academic sources, newspapers, magazine, books)
o Cite your sources- cite the author’s name and year whenever referencing a quote
