Online grocery shopping and delivery business – Instamart. Instamart is an online ordering solution for grocery shoppers. Users create an Instamart account, order groceries from local stores either via desktop or their mobile device, an Instamart ‘picker’ assembles the order, and then Instamart facilitates a home delivery or an in-store pickup. The major advantage of Instamart will be that it will tap into a shopper’s existing brick-and-mortar retail preferences. Shoppers will know exactly what items their local stores typically tend to stock, and Instamart makes the acquisition of these tried-and-tested items easy. On the other hand, with online grocery delivery from Amazon or Walmart, shoppers may need to take a chance on certain brands or products they’re unfamiliar with, or maybe their desired items are not available, and this creates friction.

Online grocery shopping is mainly used by older people who are working as they have a credit card from which they can pay for their goods. They use it because they come back late from work and so shopping is very tiring, consequently they turn to online shopping where their items are delivered to them. It can be used by anyone who owns a or debit cards they can use it to buy whatever they desire. Young people do use the service of online shopping to buy things such as clothes and games as it is of greater convenience to them.

Registering your business with Google Places allows it to be found more easily on Google searches and it shows up on Google Maps. All you have to do is fill out the form and register, then get your business verified through their confirmation process, which can be done either with a phone call or snail mail. Yahoo! also has a big database of businesses called Yahoo! Local. It’s free and is certainly worth the few minutes it takes to set up. Microsoft’s Bing has a similar service that’s easy to sign up for.

Embrace social media

Social media isn’t just a tool to gain exposure—it has now become a necessary time investment for every business to make. You can tie in ads and offers on your Facebook page and have a direct channel with your customers on Twitter. Networking on LinkedIn—both at the personal and company level—can be another way to help your startup.

Start a blog

A blog not only helps your company get its name out through followers but is a way to connect with your consumers more directly. But remember that one of the major keys of blogging is to keep your stream updated as frequently as you can. A dormant, abandoned blog is worth nothing.

If I get a chance, I would like to start restaurant service -The Indian Taste. People got to eat when they are hungry. This is a major advantage for any startup restaurant. The trend was expected to continue as busy people choose to eat out as opposed to taking the time to prepare meals at home. This means that the right restaurant at the right location can be a lucrative enterprise. The restaurant industry is experiencing steady growth and banks are taking notice. Small business loans are often more readily available for restaurant (Robert Vasquez, 2018).

Cooking from a scratch is a time-consuming process. I will target college area where students prefer to take out tasty, fresh, and healthy food. Students prefer to eat out because of the paucity of cooking skill, lack of ingredient knowledge and lack of timing. To find my target customers, I would do research to know what customers are missing from the local market and what they want. I keep the menu simple. Once I have a concept, I need to define my niche and remain focus in filling that niche. Try to use a single food item like chicken breast in many menu items to reduce my food costs. Food concept should be the first one or the best one, and make sure you are focused on serving your customers (Robert Vasquez, 2018).

When you search a business within Google, Google’s knowledge graph provides the business’s details in the sidebar. Google’s Knowledge Graph gathers a large chunk of its info from Google+, so having your business set up on Google+ is a huge bonus, as having your restaurant appear via Google’s Knowledge Graph allows for more prime search real estate (Megan Marrs, 2020).

Yelp has tremendous power in the restaurant industry and having a strong backing of positive Yelp reviews is like having a flock of golden geese – reviews from Yelp can do wonders for your business. The most important thing to understand about Yelp is that people can and will review you, even if you do not set up an account. For that reason, as a restaurant owner you should absolutely be proactive and dress up your Yelp account, so it works for you, rather than against you (Megan Marrs, 2020).

The restaurants with a strong social media presence as part of their restaurant marketing plan are the ones that fare the best, and in the competitive food industry, ignoring social media is a death sentence. create a Facebook business page and a Twitter account to share special discounts, exclusive coupons, photos of your newest dishes, and promote your own news accolades (Megan Marrs, 2020).

Twitter can be a true treasure for restaurants and timing your tweets can have a big influence on hungry stomachs. Try crafting and scheduling tweets at different times of the day to specifically target the breakfast, lunch, or dinner crowds (Megan Marrs, 2020).
