I’m stuck on a Psychology question and need an explanation.
Had to watch youtube video: Ted Talk on personal identity about Lizzie Velasquez discussing her struggles
Write about “what defines you?” Use video as example/model. 500-600 words defining me. Include: thesis statement, clear topic sentences, and relevant and adequate support for topic sentence.
Essay includes: MLA heading and header with title, Times New Roman, no larger than 12 font, double-spaced. Include introductory, body, and conclusion paragraphs.
A. Introduction (1 paragraph only) i. Attention grabbing first sentence- don’t start with thesis statement!! ii. Definition of topic stated in dictionary iii. 2-3 sentence background on why topic is important. iv. One sentence thesis statement that explains what topic means to you.
B. Body paragraphs (at least 3 paragraphs) follow guidelines for each body paragraph. i. Topic sentence focuses on 1 ex. of how you would define topic. ii. Body sentence further elaborate with specific details that support the topic sentence. iii. Conclusion/transition sentence summarizes the paragraph.
Conclusion (1 paragraph only) i. Topic sentence summarizes the essay ii. Body sentences reflect on how this topic is viewed. iii. Conclusion naturally closes essay.
