film, analysis, even the rain, conclusion

Need help with my Writing question – I’m studying for my class.

As a follow up to our discussion during the Zoom review this past Wednesday about Michelangelo’s “Rebellious Slave” (c. 1513) and the contextual issue of European imperialism and slavery of indigenous people, particularly in the New World during the turn of the sixteenth century, extra credit will be offered for students who wish to watch the film, “Even the Rain” (2010), which is about Mexican director and Spanish executive producer who travel to Bolivia to shoot a movie depicting Christopher Columbus’ conquest of what became known as Latin America, but unexpectedly land themselves in a moral crisis when they and their crew become embroiled in the intensifying Cochabamba Water War in 2000.

After watching the film, type and submit a minimum 250 word analysis that includes a thesis addressing how to research the possibility that Michelangelo may have been referencing the current event representing the enslavement of indigenous people in Latin America by Columbus, who, after all, was Italian.
