I’m studying and need help with a Economics question to help me learn.
Introduction Outline
In the 4-5 introduction you will state your research question clearly on the first page. But you need to do much more than that. You will first motivate your question –why is it important? Who would benefit from knowing the answer? Why does the answer to the question matter? You will also provide important background information about your topic.Readers may need some statistics to understand your topic (e.g., the size ofU.S. government debt and how has it grown/shrunk over the past 20years), or they may need to understand how a particular policy works (e.g., how the European Union’s carbon taxis structured).
Research question: What is the effect of higher levels of income taxation on economic growth?
Answer: Bad for economic growth.
- You will first motivate your question –why is it important?
Polticians, economists, and many other senior positions have become very interested in whether higher levels of income taxation pose positive or negative implications on our eocnomy. It is more evident than ever that the socio-ecoonimc gap within our country has been increasing at an exponential rate, whether this is positive or negative will be discussed latter in our thesis. Furthermore, our economy has been perfomring at an extraordinary rate, posting record unemployment, employment, nfp, CPI, which in turn leads to a greater GDP. We will not be entertaining the current black swan event, the epandemic. The question we have at hand is paramount to our economy. It poses many unanswered questions and policy makers are still tyring to find the equilibrium of taxation.
- Who would benefit from knowing the answer?
Everyone would benefits. Millions
- Why does the answer to the question matter?
Provides information critical to the welfare of individuals, frims, and our economy. It is valid to say that “A fair assessment would conclude that well-designed tax policies have the potential to raise economic growth, but there are many stumbling blocks along the way and certainly no guarantee that all tax changes will improve economic performance”()(IDK if this helps, looks good though).
- You will also provide important background information about your topic. Readers may need some statistics to understand your topic (e.g., the size ofU.S. government debt and how has it grown/shrunk over the past 20years), or they may need to understand how a particular policy works (e.g., how the European Union’s carbon taxis structured).
- You only need to write about this part, I have already given reference information for the previous questions. It does not need to be a complete essay, but it needs to be at least two pages, and also please list the references.
