Research a current issue in higher education, and then relate the effective reframing characteristics that would apply if you were developing an effective governance model.
Your presentation (in the form of an executive summary paper and accompanying PowerPoint presentation) should include a summary of the current higher education issue chosen, and details that explain how it influences the higher education institution for which you are acting in the role of leadership/management consultant.
Analyze the institution’s challenges and the concerns they pose in terms of identifying viable solutions. Perspectives can include those of various stakeholders (students, faculty, staff, administrators, etc.). As well as the campus climate, tradition, and culture of the institution.
Finally, discuss the position you, as a leader of the institution, would take in solving this issue through reframing and why. Provide evidence from the course readings and theories to support your position. Be sure this information includes an analysis of the institution’s competing interests (structural, human resource, symbolic, and political).
